Why September Is the Best Month to Take the Leap
Summer’s golden light is giving way to crisp autumn skies, and there’s no better time to tick “skydive” off your bucket list than right now. Here’s why September at UK Parachuting is the perfect window to jump.
Peak Season, Peak Conditions
September sits right at the tail end of the UK’s skydiving sweet spot, and many jumpers rate it as one of the best months of all. The summer crowds start to thin out, meaning shorter waits on the ground, while the weather still holds much of summer’s warmth. Stable high pressure and lower winds often make for some of the clearest, calmest jump days of the year — exactly what you want when you’re stepping out of a plane at 13,000 feet. Add in the first hints of autumn colour spreading across the East Anglian countryside, and you’ve got the perfect conditions for a jump you’ll never forget.
Slots Are Filling Fast
September remains one of our most popular months, so slots are going quickly. Whether you’re planning a solo jump, celebrating a birthday, ticking off a bucket-list moment, or organising a group skydive, we’d recommend booking sooner rather than later to get the date and time you want.
Perfect for Every Kind of Jumper
Whatever’s bringing you to either Beccles or Peterborough drop zones this September, we’ve got you covered:
- First-timers — Our tandem skydive is the ultimate way to experience freefall. You’ll be securely harnessed to one of our highly skilled instructors for the whole jump, so all you need to do is enjoy the ride.
- Charity jumpers — Turning your skydive into a fundraiser is a brilliant way to support a cause close to your heart while doing something unforgettable. Get in touch and we’ll help you get set up.
- Future skydivers — If you’re ready to go beyond tandem, our Accelerated Freefall (AFF) courses are tailored to get you jumping solo.
- Groups and celebrations — Birthdays, stag and hen dos, team days out — September’s calmer, quieter days make for a brilliant group skydiving experience.
