Suffolk Wildlife Trust Tandem Skydive
Go Wild for Suffolk Wildlife Trust
Would you like to take part in a once-in-a-lifetime experience and see the beauty of nature from a whole new perspective – the sky!
When it comes to protecting nature in our county, we need people to look at the bigger picture. To appreciate what our county has to offer, including the 50 beautiful Suffolk Wildlife Trust reserves (hotspots of biodiversity to seed nature’s recover), but also to recognise how much more must be done to protect nature and climate.
In June, fundraisers are encouraged to take part in a ’30 Days Wild’ challenge and connect with, and take action for, nature and climate.
On Saturday 7th June 2025, you can take on the ultimate wild adventure by joining our team of skydivers and, like a bird, sore through the sky.
12 seconds after leaving the plane, and taking flight, you will reach maximum speed as the air passes you by at 120mph. Don’t forget to open your eyes and try to spot our beautiful nature reserves from Carlton Marshes outside Lowestoft and along the River Waveney to Worlingham Marshes, and maybe even past Redgrave & Lopham Fen. Follow the river and see how many you can spot as you experience the joy of flying.
After 30 seconds you will have obtained the memory of a lifetime.
What’s more, you’ll have helped to raise vital funds for Suffolk Wildlife Trust, enabling us to continue protecting wildlife, restoring nature, and tackling the climate crisis in Suffolk.
About Suffolk Wildlife Trust
For over 60 years, Suffolk Wildlife Trust has been at the forefront of wildlife conservation and education across the county. However now, holding the line is no longer enough – we have to do more to ‘bring nature back’ and play our part in reversing the nature and climate crises and reaching the critical target of securing at least 30% of land and sea for nature’s recovery by 2030.
2030 is now less than five years away, and as the clock ticks, we all have a crucial part to play in ensuring we meet this target and protect our wildlife and environment for future generations.
How you can help
Sign-up today, and join Suffolk Wildlife Trust to skydive at Beccles Airfield on Saturday 7th June 2025
When you sign up, we ask that you pay a registration fee of £50 and pledge to raise a minimum of £360 in sponsorship via your own Suffolk Wildlife Trust Just Giving page, which you can set up here Suffolk Wildlife Trust – JustGiving.
In return, Suffolk Wildlife Trust will pay the balance of your full jump cost (full jump cost £230). There is an option to bear the full jump cost if you would like to do this.
Please note, funds for our charity our vital so we ask you to only register for this challenge if you feel confident you can reach the minimum fundraising target. We hope you will strive for more! (Visit our website for full Terms and Conditions).
It costs approximately £5,000 per day to protect, manage and maintain our reserves and this is without the additional work we are doing to reclaim land and create new corridors for nature’s recovery. Every penny raised is vital to us.
