The Big Leaaap in aid of East Anglian Air Ambulance

By Skydive - UK Parachuting

Take to the skies and be a life saver – join us on Saturday 20th May 2017 to take on the most incredible leap of your life. Experience the thrill of free fall, tandem skydive, rocketing through the clouds to help save the lives of people across East Anglia.

We’re are looking for 50 lifesaving EAAA daredevils to come together for this exhilarating challenge – so sign up today.

The 50 Big Leaaap jumpers will all take on this once in a lifetime challenge on one day and with our support to smash your fundraising targets, you will be funding even more live saving missions and ensure our East Anglian Air Ambulance helicopters will remain in the sky (unlike you!).

About the event

Following a short pre-jump briefing, you will board an aircraft and soar to around 13,000 feet (approximately two miles high!). When you and your instructor leave the plane, you will fall at about 120 mph, descending to 5,000 feet in around 40 seconds. At this point, your instructor will open the parachute and fly you safely back to earth! During the six minutes or so under the parachute, you will enjoy breath-taking bird’s eye views of the East Anglian countryside, just like our life saving helicopter crew!

All you need to do is be brave, smile and enjoy your Big Leaaap!

The weight limits for a Tandem Skydive are 16.7 Stone (107 Kg) for men and 15.7 Stone (99 Kg) for women. The minimum age is 16.

What does it cost?

£350 including sponsorship (£50 deposit will be taken upon registration).

Once you register, you’ll receive:

  • a supporter t-shirt
  • fundraising pack full of hints and tips
  • support from our dedicated events team to help you achieve your goals
